TC01 - E-learning concepts

Description

This is a module on e-learning 2.0 methodologies fully available online. After completing this module the participants will be able to navigate, collaborate and hold discussions in the e-learning environment. They will be able to describe the main features of online learning management systems, the existing standards and will be able to select the appropriate LMS for achieve their pedagogical aims. They will be able describe the elements of IPR issues of e-learning developments. They will be able to analyze the needs of their students (Net Generation) and synthesize new knowledge in evaluating their present pedagogical methods and the pedagogical program of their schools. They will be able to identify and categorize Web 2.0 tools, and to explore their pedagogical potential.

Target groups

We offer this module for all teachers and trainers throughout Europe who are interested in adapting their pedagogical practices to meet the needs of the students born into the digital age.

Primary target groups: teachers and trainers of vocational and adult education, staff of higher education, students of VET schools, university students.
Secondary target groups: headmasters of VET schools, European e-learning providers, HE institutes for teacher education.

Result

Online training module implemented in Moodle environment in three languages (Hungarian, English, Turkish), including core contents, detailed module information for the participants, video tutorials and integrated web 2.0 tools, self assessment tools, tasks, tests, feedbacks. The course components - core learning content, module descriptions, glossaries, videos, self assessment tools, assignments, quizzes, learning instructions and tutorials) are implemented as a standard Moodle course. Other components for generating online collaboration and discussions are partly inside Moodle modules and are partly integrated as web 2.0 applications.

Area of application

The module can be used independently from other modules of the Tenegen course for further training program of teachers, trainers and for the staff of HE - to develop their e-learning 2.0 competences, their advanced digital competences, networking methods. The module has a well elaborated technological background to carry out successful further training programs, but works really well together with the pedagogical model developed by the Tenegen consortium, with an intensive support of tutors.
